Audrey (Yunqing) Wang is a film composer, pianist, jazz composer, and singer-songwriter based in New York and Shanghai. Through the combination of synesthesia and perfect pitch, she instinctively translates subtle feelings and visual nuances into music. Her musical voice is shaped by impressionism, jazz, East Asian musical aesthetics, and a foundation in classical music. Audrey is drawn to portraying the spaces between reality and imagination with warmth, bringing fictional worlds and characters quietly to life.
Audrey has composed for films, games, animation, and installation works presented through international projects connected to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, School of Visual Arts, Fashion Institute of Technology, and international art academies. Her work has been selected and shown at the New York Shorts International Film Festival, Studio Art thesis exhibitions, and has been performed in collaboration with the Budapest orchestra and the NYU Orchestra.
Audrey is currently pursuing a dual B.M./M.M. degree in Screen Scoring at New York University, studying with Emmy Award–winning composers D.D. Jackson and Mark Suozzo, whose work includes Academy Award–nominated films. Her practice continues to explore the intersections of sound, color, and narrative.
